Thursday August 4, 2016 – Deputy President William Ruto has again been linked to another land grabbing scandal in Langata Constituency.
Ruto, who is the owner of Weston Hotel, has been accused for pushing for the relocation of Langata Bus Terminus and closure of a road intersection on Lang’ata Road to create space for his hotel parking.
The bus terminus commonly referred to as The Hague, has allegedly been moved closer to Lang’ata Road Primary School, near classrooms and the main gate.
“We are concerned.”
“Erecting a stage next to classrooms and a school gate will compromise the children’s safety and will hurt their concentration due to noise pollution,” a teacher who requested anonymity said.
Early this year the hotel blocked a road intersection that motorists coming from Lang’ata use while headed to Wilson Airport.
