Nairobi County Public Service Management will be tracking staff performance through a Monitoring and Evaluation covert operation.
In a notice sent to the County’s Executive Committee Members, Chief Officers, Directors and Sub-County and Ward Administrators, the county government said impromptu visits will be carried out in all county offices to flush out those slacking in their jobs.
“It has been noted with great concern that service delivery by all County Government sectors does not meet expectation of Nairobi Citizens and there is increase in number of complains daily,” the notice said.
The county government said the low performance among staff was manifested by chronic absenteeism, reporting late on duty, sloppiness, abuse of allowances, irrelevant and unauthorized trainings and frequent travels, revenue leakage due to corruption activities…
