State intelligence agents deployed to closely monitor Raila Odinga

According to the Star, after Raila held his first kikao in Mombasa county, having attracted 5,000 youth to the forum, the event’s organisers were approached by the DCI for questioning despite it remaining unclear if any crime had been committed.

CORD leader Raila Odinga’s kikao (session) meetings are being closely monitored by intelligence officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation.

This is because security organsations in the country believe Raila is planning a revolution similar to the Arab spring that toppled several presidents in Arab nations.

According to the Star, after Raila held his first kikao in Mombasa county, having attracted 5,000 youth to the forum, the event’s organisers were approached by the DCI for questioning despite it remaining unclear if any crime had been committed.

In the Mombasa event, Governor Hassan Joho then dished out KSh 100 million worth of bursaries to students at the event. Raila’s second kikao in Kakamega attracted 4,000 youth.
