Tuesday March 15, 2016 – Fresh details have emerged over how Devolution Cabinet Secretary, Miss Anne Waiguru, used the money in her office to bribe senior Government officials to protect her after she was linked to the theft of Sh 791 million from the National Youth Service (NYS).
According to reliable sources, Waiguru, who has been nicknamed the ‘mother of corruption in Kenya’ bribed State House spokesman, Manoah Esipisu, with Sh 25 million to defend her against corruption allegations.
Waiguru is said to have delivered the money in brief cases and was accompanied by Brown Kutswa from the Devolution Ministry.
To carry out his dirty dealings, Esipisu was using IMG founder, Charles Gicheru, and another unnamed State House operative.
This is not the first time Esipisu has been linked to corruption. During President Obama’s visit in July last year, Esipisu is alleged to have pocketed Sh 127 million meant for public relations. The money was wired through Vision 2030 Secretariat.
The President’s man is also accused of pocketing Sh 30 million that was part of the money raised by KCB, Equity, Safaricom companies to facilitate the Global Entrepreneurship Summit that was opened by Obama.
