As floods of condolences continue pouring in for the fallen Citizen TV drama show ‘Kona Mbaya’ star actor Boniface Okelo aka Bokelo who also featured on radio Ramogi as Wuon Ombugu who died yesterday, World Food Programme (WFP) Philippines Country director Dr. Asaka Nyangara has sent his condolences describing the actor as an epitome of resilience, hard work and a man who had great talent.
“I am deeply disturbed by this death, coming in quick succession of actor Benson Wanjau’s (Ojwang) death. Bokelo was a great artist who brought laughter to our living rooms and I was a great follower of him on Radio Ramogi where he killed me with bouts of laughter” averred Dr. Nyangara.
The Spectator has also learned that Dr. Nyangara will soon talk to the family from Manila to deliver his special condolence and commiserate with them in these trying times.
In a press dispatch sent to the media which spectator news desk saw, Dr Nyangara noted….
“I am still in pains trying to swallow this bitter news. It is a great blow to the local drama industry. Kenya has lost one of the greatest actors of our time. Bokelo was so talented and his discipline and focus saw him get this far. May his soul rest in perfect peace and may God also grant his family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.”
